My therapeutic approach is based on the core principles of the therapies that make up my eclectic background. The core principles are (1) the assertion that each person possesses a healthy inner core, a deeper connection to the Self, and (2) that sharing one's inner qualities with others allows one to discover the benefits of this connection to the Self. And (3) that while fulfillment and happiness are not guaranteed in life, meaning and a sense of purpose are available regardless of circumstances.
My primary mode of therapy is as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. Internal Family Systems is a powerfully transformative therapy that helps people heal by accessing and loving their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness. I have incorporated IFS into my therapy approach. This provides a safe and focused environment for you to feel self-empowered aspects of Self and enhance your therapy success.
IFS is an empowering paradigm for understanding and harmonizing the mind and larger human systems. This therapeutic approach expands one's curiosity to explore the Self and enables one to experience calmness, curiosity, confidence, compassion, connectedness, courage, clarity, and creativity.
IFS provides a safe environment to expand your self-awareness and increase self-compassion. As you develop your curiosity and explore your larger Self, you begin to gain insights into past burdens and trauma that have contributed to your pain and unresolved issues in your life. In the IFS model, you reconnect to your natural ability to heal.
